Surface protection tapes and papers shield aircraft skins, windows, composites and interior finishes from scratches, impact, solvents and weather during fabrication, assembly, maintenance and storage — then peel away cleanly. Choose a protective paper for opaque, impact-resistant coverage you can drill and rivet through, a transparent film when the part must stay visible, or a specialty tape for flame-retardant cabin work or exterior leading edges. Four of the six are qualified to Boeing BAC 5034 Type IV.

The standard protective paper for exterior aluminum skins during fabrication and assembly. Stays in place while you route, drill, countersink and rivet through it, and protects bare aluminum, titanium, stainless and painted parts. Red "Scratches Cause Rejections" print; flat liner for die-cut shapes.

A vinyl-coated face adds abrasion resistance over standard paper. Used to shield acrylic and polycarbonate windows, canopies and windshields, bare and painted metal, and for paint masking, leading edge and wing-walk protection during maintenance. Highest tensile strength of the Protex papers.

Green-tinted clear polyester film for when parts must stay visible for inspection. Low-tack, silicone-free acrylic adhesive removes cleanly from acrylic, polycarbonate, glass, metal and paint. UV resistant and rated to 325°F, so it doubles as high-temp masking. Not for fly-away use.

Removable, flame-retardant LDPE film for protecting aircraft interior materials from abrasion, solvents and moisture during maintenance and cabin refurbishment. Masks trim, panels, monuments, windows, placards and decorative laminates, then removes cleanly from most surfaces. Highly conformable at 500% elongation. Sold by the case.

Polyurethane Leading Edge Protective Tape — 14.5 Mil | Fokker FK05-193
Clear, non-yellowing polyurethane film for exterior protection: wing, strut and stabilizer leading edges, rain erosion and abrasion, and UV protection during outdoor storage. Very aggressive acrylic bond (110 oz/in) with an 80 lb/in film; stays transparent for inspection and can be die-cut for fairings and high-wear points.
