Saint-Gobain® Biolink® relink 2318 B is a double-sided, differentially coated adhesive carpet tape engineered for the aircraft industry. The permanent (closed) side uses a high-deposition modified acrylic adhesive that bonds securely to all carpet backings, while the removable side provides clean, residue-free peel removability — even after extended service. The Airbus-approved choice for bonding aircraft carpet to composite floor panels, it shortens maintenance times by removing in one piece with no scraping or solvent clean-up.
Designed so the tape is first applied to the floor panel and then bonded to the carpet, its removable adhesive delivers good tack and shear for solid initial repositionability, preventing edge lift and seam slip throughout the life of the installation. The differential adhesive system holds the carpet firmly while still peeling cleanly from the floor panel and load-bearing floor (LBF), with excellent resistance to aging, weathering, elevated temperature, and humidity. (For PSA-backed carpet set production, the permanent adhesive is available on the open side as version A.)
