Protex 5 is a 4–5 mil latex-saturated protective paper with a silicone-free natural latex adhesive, printed in red with "SCRATCHES CAUSE REJECTIONS — HANDLE WITH CARE" — the aerospace scratch-protection paper qualified to Boeing BAC 5034 Type IV, Class 1, Grade A for protecting aluminum skins during fabrication and assembly. Surfaces can be routed, drilled, countersunk, and riveted right through the paper without removing it, and the 17–22 oz/in adhesive holds on aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and painted surfaces without damaging them. A flat release liner makes it die-cuttable into custom shapes. Available in Natural with red print in 12", 16", 24", and 48" widths on 60-yard rolls.
