Protex 8216-2L by Mask-Off is a precision low-tack polyester protective film engineered for applications where light transmission, UV resistance, and high-temperature performance are critical. Unlike paper-based protective tapes, this transparent surface protection film allows visual inspection and process monitoring through the tape — without removal — making it ideal as a protective film for acrylic, plastic, glass, and painted surfaces. Qualified to Boeing BAC 5034 and Airbus AIMS 12-6-001, and trusted across aerospace manufacturing and MRO for protecting high-value surfaces.

The 2 mil tinted-green polyester carries a low-tack, silicone-free acrylic latex adhesive and a flat release liner for converting and pre-cutting. Its durable polyester backing provides superior protection from abrasive and low-impact damage, withstands temperatures up to 325°F, and is capable of prolonged outdoor exposure. The release liner makes it ideal for rotary die cutting and custom conversion into pre-cut protection pieces.
