FAQ
What is Patco D9100 used for?
Patco D9100 is a flame retardant polyurethane waterseal tape used to seal floor joints in the wet areas of aircraft — galleys, lavatories, and entryways — providing a moisture barrier and helping prevent corrosion on the floor structure. It can be applied directly over wet sealant and die-cut to custom shapes.
What Boeing specification does Patco D9100 meet?
Patco D9100 meets Boeing BMS 8-346 Type I & II, Class 1 and is recommended by the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group. It also meets FAR 25.853(a), Airbus AIMS 10-05-004A and ABD0031, and Fokker FK05-193.
What is the difference between Patco D9100 and D9100SW?
Both are the same flame retardant polyurethane aircraft waterseal tape meeting BMS 8-346. The "SW" version (D9100SW) is self-wound with no liner. The D9100SW typically carries a longer lead time.
Is Patco D9100 transparent?
Yes. Patco D9100 is a clear, transparent polyurethane film, which allows the sealed floor joint to be visually inspected without removing the tape.
