FAQ
What is E&H 743-T tape used for?
E&H 743-T is a white non-metalized PVF insulation cover splicing tape used to fabricate aircraft insulation blanket covers, install thermal and acoustic insulation blankets, seal sewn seams, and close fabrication slits and holes around brackets and conduits after installation.
What is the difference between E&H 743-T and 743-MT?
The 743-T uses a white non-metalized PVF film (Boeing composition PVF, Gulfstream GAT100FR2). The 743-MT uses a dull gray metalized PVF film (composition MPVF, Gulfstream GAT100FR1) and is the Orcon OT-157TN alternative. Boeing's callout specifies which composition is required; they are not interchangeable.
What specification does E&H 743-T meet?
It meets Boeing BMS 5-157 Rev. K, Type I, Class 1, Grade A, Form 1, Comp. PVF, plus Gulfstream GAT100FR2, the FAA Critical Radiant Heat Panel test (FAR 25.856(A)), FAR 25.853 (A or B), and Boeing BSS-7230.
