KPT-2 is a 2 mil polyimide film tape with silicone adhesive for gold-finger masking, wave soldering, hot air solder leveling (HASL) and electrical insulation of coils, generators and transformers. Rated for 392°F (200°C) for 30 minutes. A Kapton™ alternative, available in 1" and 2" x 36 yd rolls, sold by the pack or case. Minimum purchase: six 1" rolls or three 2" rolls.

• >8000 V dielectric, Class H — commercial grade 2 mil polyimide film (3.5 mil total tape thickness) for electrical insulation; film meets UL 510
• Minimal residue — removes after processing with little cleanup, reducing rejects
• Chemical and tear resistant — resists acids, oils, solvents, aging, staining and water immersion, with outstanding tear and abrasion resistance at temperature
